New Face of iPhone Applications

If you’ve ever wondered what you’d look like after a boob job, facelift or other plastic surgery – well, they’ve got an app for that now.  New iPhone application iSurgeon lets people try out any cosmetic procedure without going under the knife.  All users have to do is take a photo of the body part they want to change then glide a finger over the screen to make it bigger, smaller, narrower or wider. They can also “perform” surgery on pics of friends and celebs. We’ve had a go and rolled back the years for East Enders favorite Dot Branning, by giving her a full facelift (above).

The app was created by American plastic surgeon Dr Michael Salzhauer, who wanted to cut down the time he spent on consultations. Users can email their altered photos to the Miami Beach- based doctor. He then tells them if the changes are feasible and how much they would cost. He said: “A lot of people wonder what they would look like if they could change themselves but they may be nervous about coming into the office.

“This will help them find out if they are actually interested and, if they are, they can seek out a certified plastic surgeon to follow it up.”

“Consultations can take up to three hours – this only takes a few minutes and can be done in private.”

The app is free to download and is already a hit in America.

Dr Salzhauer – who developed it from the Photoshop program he uses with clients in his office – says that he has been inundated with business over there.  He said:

“The response has been amazing. More than 100,000 people have sent in images and I’ve had a few dozen patients have work done based on the pictures they produced on their phones.”

“I am a techno nut but this is really simple to use. You can see the results in seconds.”
