Runner Jana Rawlinson Promises a Return of Breast Implants
Australian athlete Jana Rawlinson made the controversial decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery and has recently removed the breast implants. However Jana promised to replace her implants after her competition years come to an end.
28-year old Jana Rawlinson had breast implants placed in early 2009 and after breast augmentation announced that she felt the implants were impeding her ability to run. She has since had her breast implants removed but plans to undergo breast augmentation again once her running career is over.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Typically, breast implants will not impede a woman’s physical abilities. However, for a professional athlete even the smallest alternation in physique such as weight gain or an implant can make a difference in performance.”
Jana has had a somewhat controversial career, but many supported her choice to undergo breast augmentation.
