Was Nicolette Taylor Bullied into Plastic Surgery?
13-year old Nicolette Taylor was reportedly on the receiving end of some brutal comments about the size and shape of her nose that eventually led her to seek a rhinoplasty.
Nicolette’s father, Rob, told ABC News by way of explanation, “You’d buy them shoes. You’d get them braces, which we did.”
Nicolette seems pleased with her newly shaped nose, which has had great results and will continue to look better as she finishes with her plastic surgery recovery.
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Unfortunately, it is very common for teens to be bullied about a seemingly abnormal body part such as a large nose or wide ears. I see hundreds of teens a year just like Nicolette for nose jobs as a result of be bullied and subsequently suffering from low self-esteem due to it. This is a subject that has received a great deal of attention lately. I think in cases such as Nicolette Taylor’s, the subtle improvement she has received from her nose job is worth the immense boost in self-confidence and self-esteem. Her results look great.”
Nicolette’s decision to go under the knife has drawn some controversy because of her young age, but she seems to be much happier so it seems that plastic surgery has worked for her.
