Is Kate Middleton’s Scar From Plastic Surgery?

Kate Middleton may be covering up a baby bump if tabloid speculation has gotten things correct. But she also recently revealed a scar in her hairline, leading to speculation of plastic surgery.

29-year old Kate Middleton, officially known as Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge has been suspected of dabbling in plastic surgery before her royal wedding. But recent photos of the Duchess show that before breast augmentation, Kate had surgery that left her with a fairly substantial scar in her hairline.

Some have speculated that the scar is caused by plastic surgery, but the official story is that the scar is the result of an unnamed childhood surgery, which seems likely given the location and age of the scar.

Scar treatment can help the appearance of scars, but staying out of the sun is the best way to help scars heal. Because Kate frequently wears hats and the scar is in her hair, it is in a good position to be protected.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “The good thing about Kate’s scar is that it is hidden just behind the hairline.  That conceals it well and protects it from the sun which is very important for scar care.  There is not much she can do for this scar.  It is hardly noticeable and I would leave it alone and it may fade even more over time.”
