50-year old Ricky Gervais posed outside a plastic surgery clinic in Los Angeles with dollar bills in his hands just days before the big day, leading many to think that Ricky had been a recent customer of the clinic.

He posted the goofy photo on Twitter with the caption: ” Some last minute preparation so I don’t look out of place at The Golden Globes.”

After losing a lot of weight just a few years ago, Ricky could be considering getting some dermal fillers to help fill in the lines on his face. He could also likely use a tummy tuck and lower body lift to get rid of excess left behind from the weight loss (See Make Me Heal’s story on Ricky Gervais’ plastic surgery). Of course then he would have to take time off from comedy for a tummy tuck recovery.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer says, “Ricky Gervais looks fantastic.  After a person has experienced a significant amount of weight loss such as he has, they may consider some cosmetic procedures to get rid of any excess or loose skin that they have been left with.  The most common of these procedures are the tummy tuck and lower body lift procedures.  Another common cosmetic treatment for someone who has lost a significant amount of weight is dermal fillers for the face.  Ricky Gervais could use dermal fillers to the nasolabial folds, or laugh lines, to give him a more rejuvenated look to his face.”

With or without plastic surgery, Ricky’s off-color humor seems to have landed him an annual gig at The Golden Globes, ribbing the audience about their love of plastic surgery.
